Community.wikia.com is a site where wikians (and Wikipedians) can explore ways to build community and lasting associations throughout Wikia. The association begins with the current definition of Community represented by its main article at Wikipedia.

Community of communities Edit

Wikia are defined as communities. Many, perhaps most began as associations of Wikipedia contributors (Wikipedians) or of members of the Wikimedia Foundation's Metacommunity. Wikia is a seperate little world where like-minded people can congregate and collaborate on higher levels, defining there own collective missions and policies and building bases for opinion, specialized knowlege, and practices that support and propogate particular fields of interest. The goal at Meta Collab is to facilitate a collaboration of collaborations. This article is placed here at MC to investigate the prospects for facilitating a community of communities.
