[edit] Collaboration between learners and teachers

A healthy learning environment can be viewed as one that supports collaboration between learners and teachers [1].

[edit] Electronic Tools for Educational Collaboration

There are many types of collaborative software that can be used to promote collaboration between learners and teachers.

[edit] The Wiki Interface

Wiki software allows all members of a learning-oriented community to create, link and edit hypertext webpages. Existing wikis such as Wikipedia and Wikibooks are ways of linking distributed and informal communities of learners and teachers. An attempt is underway to start Wikiversity, a wiki that will explicitly promote the interactions between learners and teachers in a wiki environment. A similar project is called WikiEducator.
